DLSL CLAWS
Compassion becomes unstoppable when it is organized, documented, and shared with intention.

problem
DLSL CLAWS is driven by genuine care for animal welfare, but its documentation and communication efforts were fragmented. Important stories, events, and milestones were scattered across platforms, making it difficult for members, partners, and stakeholders to stay informed. Without a centralized system, valuable institutional knowledge risked being lost, and opportunities to demonstrate impact were missed. The issue was not a lack of compassion, but the absence of structure to support it.
solution
As Chief of Publications and Documentation, I helped design a centralized communication system that preserved CLAWS’ work and amplified its voice. Through organized visual documentation, consistent updates, digital archives, and engaging storytelling, the organization gained clarity and continuity. Information became easier to access, share, and trust. Design served as infrastructure. It supported transparency, strengthened engagement, and ensured that meaningful efforts were not forgotten.
CLAWS was built on care, but it grew through intention. By treating documentation as a responsibility rather than an afterthought, the organization became more resilient and visible. Each story recorded and shared became proof that compassion, when organized, can scale and inspire action beyond the immediate community.

DLSL CLAWS’ journey began with a small team of passionate students who believed in the power of compassion and the impact that a dedicated community could have on animal welfare. They carefully observed the challenges faced by stray and abandoned animals, as well as the needs of volunteers and advocates, engaging with the community to understand how they could make a real difference. Equipped with these insights, they set out to build an organization that would create meaningful change for animals and inspire students to take action.
